From Puerto Vallarta airport (PVR) it’s about 40 km via highway 200, around a 45-minute drive by car or taxi. Buses leaving Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta stop in the village.
How many days
A day trip, or two to three nights to surf and enjoy the village’s pace.
When to go
November to April, in the dry season, with waves good for beginners. In summer the waves are usually larger and there is more rain.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
No. The village is explored on foot, and there are buses to Vallarta. A car helps to visit neighboring beaches like San Pancho.
