About Playa La Entrega
La Entrega is located in the Santa Cruz bay, about 2 km from the marina, in a cove protected by rocks. The beach is small, with golden sand and calm, clear water, and a coral reef a few meters from the shore where you can snorkel with colorful fish.
The name, La Entrega, recalls an episode in Mexico's history: in 1831, the deposed president Vicente Guerrero was handed over there to his enemies after being deceived by a ship captain, and was subsequently executed in Cuilápam.
The beach has seafood restaurants with tables on the sand and snorkel equipment rental. On weekends and in high season it gets busy.
The road to the beach passes a viewpoint overlooking Santa Cruz bay.
