About La Bufadora

La Bufadora is on the tip of the Punta Banda peninsula, about 35 km south of Ensenada. Waves enter a submerged cave in the rock, compress the air and force water out through the fissure, with a loud sound, sometimes more than 20 meters high.

A concrete lookout over the rocks allows close views of the jet; people standing in front often get splashed. The jet is stronger at high tide and when the sea is rougher.

The path to the lookout passes a street of craft and food stalls and churros, and there are restaurants with views over Bahía de Todos Santos.

The road there crosses the Punta Banda peninsula, with sea views on both sides.
