It is about 25 km from Cuernavaca and 80 km from Mexico City, with direct buses from both. On weekends the road and the town get crowded.

How many days

One day, or one night if you hike up the Tepozteco early.

When to go

All year; from November to May, in the dry season, the trail is drier. Weekends are busier; in September the Tepozteco festival takes place.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

No. The center is explored on foot, and the Tepozteco trail begins in the village.
