The city
Los Mochis is a city in Sinaloa, near the Gulf of California, founded in the early 20th century around a sugar mill owned by American businessman Benjamin Johnston. It is the terminus, or starting point, of the Chepe train on the Pacific, and lies a few kilometres from the port of Topolobampo, where ferries to La Paz and boat tours of the bay depart.
