The city
Chihuahua is the capital of Mexico’s largest state, on a dry plateau about 1,400 meters above sea level, and the classic starting point for the train to the Barrancas del Cobre. The downtown has the stone baroque cathedral, the Government Palace with murals about the state’s history, and Pancho Villa’s house, today a Revolution museum.
