About Cleland Wildlife Park

Cleland Wildlife Park is in the Adelaide Hills within Cleland National Park, about 20 minutes from the city centre. It covers roughly 35 hectares of bushland and houses over 130 Australian species.

The highlight is the open area where kangaroos, wallabies and emus roam freely among visitors, who can feed them with food sold at the park. There are also wombats, echidnas, Tasmanian devils, birds and reptiles in enclosures that mimic their natural environments.

At scheduled koala sessions visitors can get close and have their photo taken with a koala; sessions run at set times and have limited places. Throughout the day keepers present the animals and explain their habits.

There is an entry fee and koala sessions cost extra. The park is a few minutes from the Mount Lofty lookout.
