The city

What to expect from Sodwana Bay.

Sodwana Bay is a bay in the northern part of iSimangaliso, known for the southernmost coral reefs in Africa and for diving in the Indian Ocean. Boats depart straight from the beach to reefs that are named by distance, such as Two Mile Reef. From November to March, nighttime trips leave from here to watch turtle nesting. About 25 km away lies Lake Sibaya, the largest natural freshwater lake in the country.
