at your own pace.

Şanlıurfa combines museums, the Balıklıgöl lagoon and the Neolithic remains of Göbekli Tepe.

The city is a base for understanding southeastern Anatolia before heading to the excavations and surrounding villages. The Şanlıurfa Museum provides archaeological context; Haleplibahçe displays mosaics in a separate complex. Harran contributes cone‑roofed houses and the remains of a city with a long history.

Nemrut is in another province and requires changing base to Kâhta. On the mountain summit, Antiochus I’s funerary complex has terraces with monumental sculptures. Sunrise is an option to visit, but not the only one, and the view depends on the weather.

Prepare the trip in advance, especially transfers between sites. The heat of the plains and the cold high on Nemrut demand different planning.

This destination brings together 3 cities: Şanlıurfa, Harran, Kâhta.
