About Cumalıkızık Köyü
Cumalıkızık lies at the foot of Uludağ, in the Bursa area. The village is part of the heritage associated with the formation of the Ottoman city and retains a network of narrow streets with houses built using traditional techniques and materials. The walk reveals the rural side of a system that also included markets and urban religious complexes.
The walk passes by facades, alleys and small everyday-use spaces. Some houses are still occupied, and visits should remain in public areas or in interiors that explicitly welcome visitors. It is not necessary to turn every house into a stop to understand the ensemble.
The stone paving and the slopes make the walk slower than the distance suggests. Aim to arrive with time to wander the streets before the busiest period and keep a margin to return to Bursa. A morning usually works well, without combining the village and the entire mountain on the same outing.
