About Olympos Antik Kenti
Olympos occupies a valley that reaches the Mediterranean, at the southern end of Çıralı beach.
The ruins are spread along the banks of a watercourse, with public buildings, tombs and structures related to the ancient port city. Vegetation and relief are part of the route: the visitor moves from more enclosed areas to the opening by the sea.
The site and the village of Çıralı are close, but road accesses are not the same. Check which entrance matches your transfer. Allow time for the ruins before heading to the beach, avoiding treating the complex merely as a route to the shore.

Frequently asked questions about Olympos Antik Kenti
Are the Olympos ruins on the cable-car mountain?
The archaeological site is by the sea at the southern end of Çıralı beach. Tahtalı, associated with the name Olympos Teleferik, is a mountain visit at a different location.
Is Olympos just a passage to reach the beach?
There are remains of buildings, tombs and port structures that deserve their own attention. Allow time to explore them, rather than using the complex merely as a corridor to the sand.
Which access should I use for Olympos if I'm in Çıralı?
On foot you can go south along the beach to the authorized site entrance. By vehicle, confirm the correct descent, as the Olympos valley access differs from Çıralı's.
