About Aspendos Antik Tiyatrosu
The theatre of Aspendos is a Roman building that preserves the seating and a large stage wall.
The structure allows understanding the organization of an ancient theatre, with the audience space facing a stage enclosed by monumental architecture. The Aspendos complex also holds city ruins and remains of the water supply system, separate from the main core of the visit.
When visiting, observe the building from below and from above, according to the permitted route, to compare the relationship between stage and seats. The stairs require attention to your walking pace. Those who intend to see the rest of the site should allow more time than that needed for the theatre alone.
