About Playa Dominicus
Playa Dominicus lies just east of the village of Bayahibe and is one of the calmest sea beaches in the country. The sand is white and fine, the water has turquoise-blue tones and the seabed slopes gently, which is good for families with children. The beach holds Blue Flag certification, an international seal linked to water quality and environmental management.
The reefs are a few meters from the sand in several sections, and with a snorkel mask you can already see colorful fish. The shoreline is occupied by all-inclusive hotels, but there is a public access point in the middle of the beach, with stalls, chairs and restaurants.
Being within the area of influence of Parque Nacional Cotubanamá, the surrounding coast has dry forest and rock cliffs, and the boats that go to Isla Saona pass in front of it.
