The city

What to expect from Puebla.

Puebla is the capital of the state of the same name, at about 2,100 meters altitude, among the volcanoes of central Mexico. The historic center, a World Heritage site, has the cathedral with tall towers, the baroque Chapel of the Rosary, the Biblioteca Palafoxiana and mansions covered in talavera tiles. It is the home of mole poblano and chiles en nogada, and has markets, the sweets street and an artists' neighborhood.
