A region to enjoy
at your own pace.

New York is known by neighborhoods and layers: the tall buildings of Midtown, the older streets of lower Manhattan, the major museums around Central Park and Brooklyn’s waterfront. Walking and using the subway lets you change atmosphere without relying on a car.

The Statue of Liberty requires a boat leg, while the Met, MoMA and Guggenheim demand time inside the galleries. Observation decks convey the scale of the islands, but you don’t need to visit them all to understand the city; choose based on the view and the type of observatory.

Broadway works as an evening program and should be planned with the theater’s distance to your lodging in mind. Taxes on purchases may be added to the ticket price.
