The city
Graskop is a timber town on the edge of the Drakensberg escarpment, at the heart of the Panoramic Route. It is about 10 km from God's Window and a few kilometres from the Lisbon and Berlin waterfalls. Along the R532 to the north you reach Bourke's Luck potholes and the Three Rondavels viewpoint over the Blyde River canyon. The town is known for the pancakes served in the cafés on the main street and for the Graskop canyon, right next to the centre.

The local experience
Viewpoint on the edge of the Drakensberg escarpment, about 10 km from Graskop, overlooking the Lowveld roughly 900 meters below, with a trail through a moist forest.
Two neighboring waterfalls near Graskop: Lisbon, about 94 meters high, the tallest in the region, and Berlin, which falls like a sail into a dark pool.
Cylindrical holes carved by water into the rock, at the meeting of the Treur and Blyde rivers, at the start of the canyon, with walkways over the rapids.
Viewpoint over the Blyde River Canyon, with three rounded peaks that resemble African huts and the Blydepoort dam down below.
