How many days
One day covers the town center and part of the Skanzen. To tour the museum at a relaxed pace, add another time slot.
When to go
From April to October the open‑air museum’s offerings are usually greater. Winter, from December to February, is cold with short days; summer has daylight lasting longer and can bring rain.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
The HÉV handles arrival from Budapest. Walk around the center and arrange separate transport for the Skanzen.
