Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik concentrates its walls, the Rector’s Palace and the Franciscan Monastery in a stone core by the Adriatic. Lokrum requires a short crossing; the Srđ viewpoint offers another perspective on the coast. The city can also serve as a base for Mljet, provided boats allow time to reach the lakes and return.

Ston

Ston sits at the entrance to the Pelješac peninsula, with walls climbing the slope and connecting to Mali Ston. The fortified complex also allows views over the salt pans. The town is visited on foot as a complete walk, with route and return determined by the section of wall you choose.
