When to go

In Slunj, April to June and September to October are usually mild. Winter from December to February tends to be cold with short days; summer from June to August has long days and can be warm.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

A car makes access to Plitvice and accommodations outside the center easier. Without one, check the round-trip bus services before booking outings.
