The 5fingers are a set of platforms on the Krippenstein, above the Hallstatt valley. The walkways extend out from the slope and broaden the view of the lake and the mountains.
The visit combines cable cars and a high-altitude walk. The platforms have different shapes but belong to the same panoramic viewpoint. What you can see depends on clouds, mist and ground conditions, not only on reaching the top.
This outing requires hiking footwear and time to go and return along the trail. Between June and September there are usually more favorable conditions for summer routes; opening depends on the operator and the weather. Check the path and the last return before leaving the upper station.
