The city

What to expect from Hallstatt.

Hallstatt occupies a narrow shore of the Hallstätter See, between houses and slopes. The lake and the Salzwelten explain the village’s relationship with salt. In Obertraun, access to the Dachstein adds the ice cave and the 5fingers viewpoint, with a separate mountain program.
