Architecture
Ještěd
Ještěd is the mountain that defines the landscape southwest of Liberec. At the summit, the conical‑profile tower visually extends the rise and is a reference of 20th‑century Czech architecture. The outing combines interest in the building with views of the landscape from the high point.
Architecture
Liberecká radnice
Liberec’s town hall occupies one side of the central square and stands out for its tower and façade decoration. The neo‑Renaissance building makes a good urban starting point before excursions to the mountains and forests. The square provides space to view the ensemble head‑on.
Nature reserve
Jizerskohorské bučiny
The beech forests of the Jizera Mountains lie north of Liberec and form part of a European forest heritage. Walks follow forested routes and varied terrain rather than a single approach to an isolated tree. Choice of access greatly affects the length of the walk.
