Karkonosze National Park protects mountains on the southern border of Lower Silesia. The Karpacz sector allows planning hikes and approaches toward the Śnieżka area, presenting a landscape of ridges, slopes and forest different from the urban complexes of Wałbrzych.
Trails vary in distance and elevation gain, and arriving by mountain transport does not remove the need to assess the next stage of the route. The summit is exposed to conditions that can differ from the streets at the base, with visibility and perceived temperature changing during the day.
Choose an authorized trail and check the park's guidance before organizing the route. Between June and September there are usually more summer hikes, without excluding rain, wind and cold at higher elevations. Allow time for the descent and avoid planning the summit as the mandatory outcome of the trip.
