About Baradla-barlang
The Baradla-barlang is part of the Aggtelek karst cave complex and the Slovak karst recognized as a World Heritage site. The system crosses the border, but the proposed visit departs from the Hungarian side. The passages were shaped by water in limestone.
Halls and mineral formations appear along the routes prepared for visitors. There are routes of different durations and effort levels, so the name Baradla does not correspond to a single standardized walk. The indicated point refers to the entrance area in Aggtelek, not the geometric center of the entire system.
The trip from Miskolc should take a full regional day, including travel, the underground route and the return. Choose the entrance and book in advance on the official website when required. Bring a layer of clothing for the subterranean environment and footwear suitable for the floor, even if the day is warm outside.
