About Festetics-kastély

The Festetics-kastély occupies the northern part of Keszthely’s center. The light‑colored building with Baroque composition is set beside a large park. The ensemble tells the story of the Festetics family and their presence in the Balaton region.

Interiors include state rooms and the Helikon library, which preserves the atmosphere of an aristocratic collection. The visit presents a palatial residence, different from the ruined castles of northern Hungary. Outbuildings and exhibitions in the complex may have separate routes.

Begin with the palace and set aside a separate period for the park, rather than trying to fit all spaces into a short visit. The address allows you to continue on foot to Keszthely’s center. Check the mix of spaces chosen before deciding how much time to spend on the whole site.
