About Hévízi-tó
Hévízi-tó is located within the town of Hévíz, near Keszthely and at the western end of the Balaton. The water is thermal in origin and the lake is surrounded by vegetation. The attraction is the natural bathing setting, distinct from a series of urban pools.
A visit to the lake should be planned as an outdoor water activity. Water temperature and area conditions vary, and usage guidelines are part of the experience. It is not the same as entering a museum or visiting the interior of a waterside palace.
Bring swimwear and check the outdoor access points on the chosen day. Those who only intend to walk around the town should distinguish that program from entering the lake. To combine with Keszthely, allow time for changing clothes and for travel between the two centers.
