A region to enjoy
at your own pace.

Vienna lets you organize the Austrian trip around palaces, music and museums. the old town fits into walks, while the subway takes you to more distant ensembles. German appears on signs; the name Wien is what you read at stations and on tickets.

The Habsburgs left urban and summer residences, each with different internal circuits. Allow time to choose collections instead of trying to get through every museum in a single pass. Gardens and courtyards help convey the scale of the buildings.

Baden adds thermal heritage and Beethoven’s house. Petronell-Carnuntum takes you to the Roman landscape of the Danube, with reconstructed houses and archaeological sites. Both excursions can be done from Vienna on separate days.

The seasons are reversed and dinner usually starts earlier. In winter, concentrate walks in the daylight hours.

Semmering adds a rail journey and viewing paths in southern Lower Austria. The historic route has viaducts and tunnels recognized as World Heritage, with on-land visits that should be planned separately from the trip aboard.

This destination brings together 4 cities: Viena, Baden, Petronell-Carnuntum, Semmering.
