About Zlatni rat
Zlatni rat is the pebble spit that juts into the sea west of Bol’s centre on the island of Brač. Its shape results from wave and current action, so the tip can change form. The well‑known aerial image does not match the view from someone walking on the beach.
A tree‑lined strip occupies the rear of the spit and connects to coastal paths. The walk can combine the hike from Bol with time by the water.
From June to September there is usually more availability of summer services, but swimming and sports depend on sea and wind conditions. Do not plan the visit as a promise of calm water. Allow time to return to the harbour if the outing includes a crossing scheduled for the same day.
