About Krimmler Wasserfälle

The Krimml waterfalls descend in several tiers on the edge of the Hohe Tauern. A visitor path follows the slope with viewpoints at different heights.

The route allows you to see parts of the falls at close range, with spray present. Going up to the higher levels changes the time and effort required for the visit. It is possible to see the lower sector without turning the walk into a hike up to the high valley.

The trail usually operates between April and October, depending on local conditions. Water volume varies with rain and snowmelt, and typically increases between May and July. Choose the level of the route according to your willingness to walk and allow time to return along the same slope.
