A region to enjoy
at your own pace.

Carinthia presents Austria’s southern Alpine region through towns, lakes and mountains. Klagenfurt brings you close to the Wörthersee and Minimundus; Villach distributes access to the Dobratsch and other lakes. The two towns each play their own role in the trip.

Hochosterwitz Castle adds a historical visit on elevated terrain, off the shoreline route. To make the most of it, reserve an arrival day and the climb, instead of trying to fit it in during a simple base change.

The Austrian summer, from June to August, typically concentrates recreational use of the lakes. The cold from December to February alters the landscape and the available services.

This destination brings together 2 cities: Klagenfurt, Villach.
