About Siida

Siida is located in Inari village core, north of the bridge over the Juutuanjoki. The museum presents Sámi culture and its relationship with the northern environment. The visit lets you learn about ways of life, knowledge and objects in their own context, without reducing the region only to snow activities.

The indoor exhibitions and the outdoor area provide complementary routes. The outdoor sector gathers buildings and other elements that help understand traditional uses of the territory. Availability of the different spaces varies by season; check what will be open on your date.

Allow a morning or an afternoon, leaving time to read the information rather than just passing through the rooms. The building is reachable on foot from the central area. Check guided program schedules if you want to deepen your reading of the exhibitions and regional history.
