How many days
Half a day for the centre and the museum. As a base, Rønne works for three or four days of sightseeing around the island.
When to go
From June to August days are usually long and the sea is less cold; May and September are quieter. In winter it's cold and windy, and ferries and buses run less frequently.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
It's not essential. Buses run from Rønne to all the villages, and there are bike rentals near the harbour. A car helps if you want to combine Hammershus, Gudhjem and Dueodde in one day; it can come on the ferry or be rented on the island.
