How many days
One day for the waterfront, the Utzon Center, the old town and Lindholm Høje; a day and a half to see Kunsten at a relaxed pace.
When to go
From May to September, with long days and a lively fjordfront, including swimming in the harbour in summer. The last week of May the Aalborg Carnival usually fills the streets. In winter it’s cold, with wind from the fjord.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
No. The centre, the waterfront and Kunsten are walkable; buses go to Lindholm Høje. A car helps to follow the coast to Skagen, but the train also reaches there.
