The city
Tucacas is the main gateway town to Parque Nacional Morrocoy, on the eastern coast of Falcón state. From its pier motorboats depart for the park's southern and central cays, such as Boca Seca, Paiclá (with the beaches Playuela and Playa Mero), and Cayo Sombrero, and a bridge links the town to the cay Punta Brava, reachable by car. The waterfront has guesthouses, fish restaurants and tour agencies.
