What to expect from Montañita.

Montañita is a fishing village in the province of Santa Elena that became one of the main surf spots in Equador. It sits in a cove between green hills, with a long beach and, at the northern tip, the wave of La Punta. The village has dirt streets and bamboo and wooden houses, with guesthouses, surf schools, craft shops and restaurants. Nearby are the wide beach of Olón and the calm bay of Ayangue.
