About Navegación por el Canal Beagle — Faro Les Éclaireurs
Navigation along the Canal Beagle departs from Ushuaia's central waterfront and reaches the area of Faro Les Éclaireurs. The red-and-white tower stands on a rocky islet east of the bay, with the mountains of Tierra del Fuego around it. Its role is to guide vessels passing through that part of the channel.
The lighthouse is viewed from the boat. The route passes by islands in the channel, and some options include a walk on another island. When choosing a tour, compare the itinerary: a trip to Les Éclaireurs is not the same as a navigation that continues to Isla Martillo.
The boat's outer deck makes it easier to observe the coast but is exposed to the wind. Bring warm clothing even between November and March, when daylight hours are longer. Allow time for boarding at the tourist pier and confirm the route and departure before you go. Faro Les Éclaireurs is different from the Faro de San Juan de Salvamento on Isla de los Estados.

Check whether the itinerary goes only to the lighthouse or includes a landing on another island. Don't book a visit to the lighthouse expecting a walk on its islet.
