About Sammlung Rosengart

The Sammlung Rosengart brings together the collection of dealer Siegfried Rosengart and his daughter Angela, who associated with several 20th‑century artists. The museum opened in 2002 in a neoclassical 1922 building a few minutes from the station, which served as a branch of the Swiss National Bank until 1999.

The highlights are two names. There are about 180 works by Pablo Picasso, including paintings, drawings and prints, many from his late period. About 125 works by Paul Klee occupy an entire floor.

The collection totals more than 300 modern artworks. There are canvases by Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro and Georges Seurat, among other late-19th and 20th-century painters.

The rooms are small and the visit is calm, with space to view each work up close.
