Confirm before buying. In season, there are boats linking Monterosso to the other villages.

How many days

One day is enough to see the village and relax on the beach. Since Monterosso has more accommodation, it works well as a base for two or three days while visiting the other villages by train.

When to go

Summer, from June to August, is the beach season and the busiest time. May, June and September usually have pleasant sea conditions with fewer people. From November to March many businesses reduce their hours and the boats stop running.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

No. The regional train stops in Fegina, next to the beach. There is paid parking at the entrance to the village, but car access to the center is restricted. Those who come by car usually leave it in La Spezia or Levanto and continue by train.
