About Juan-les-Pins

Juan-les-Pins is Antibes' resort neighborhood, west of Cap d'Antibes, facing the Golfe Juan. It grew in the 1920s when wealthy Americans and artists began to frequent the Riviera in summer as well as winter.

The beaches are sandy, with public sections and beach clubs. Behind the seafront is the Pinède Gould, a pine grove by the sea that gives the place its name (les pins are the pine trees).

It is in the Pinède that the Jazz à Juan takes place in July, a festival founded in 1960 and one of the oldest in Europe. Big names in jazz have performed there; the program and tickets are released each year. In summer, nightlife focuses on the streets near the Palais des Congrès.
