How many days
On a one-day trip from Madri you can see the Catedral, the Jewish quarter and Santo Tomé. Two days allow a more relaxed visit to the Alcázar, the museums and the synagogues, and seeing the city lit up at night without the tour groups.
When to go
From March to May and from September to November the weather is usually good for walking. From December to February it is cold and the days are short.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
No. The train links Toledo with Madri, and the historic center is explored on foot. The streets are narrow and steep, and parking uphill is difficult. A car is only useful to reach the Mirador del Valle without walking up or to continue traveling around the region.
