How many days

When to go

From June to September it is usually less cold and rains less — the season for San Lorenzo beach. In August the city holds the Semana Grande festival and an international trade fair. In Asturias it rains much of the year, especially in autumn and winter.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

No. The center and Cimadevilla are walkable, and city buses reach the Universidad Laboral, the Botanical Garden and the Museum of the People of Asturias. Trains and buses connect Gijón with Oviedo.
