The city

What to expect from Pucón.

Pucón is on the eastern shore of Lago Villarrica, at the foot of Volcán Villarrica, in the Araucanía region, land of the mapuches. It's the adventure-sports base of southern Chile: climbing the volcano, rafting, trekking and lake bathing. Around it are Playa Grande and La Poza on Lago Villarrica, Parque Nacional Huerquehue and the Ojos del Caburgua.
