About Parc à gibier de Saint-Hubert
The Saint-Hubert animal park is located in the forest, close to the town, and covers about 17 hectares. There are roughly 200 animals of Ardennes and European fauna living semi-wild, such as deer, fallow deer, mouflons and wild boar.
A walking path crosses the park among large enclosures and woodland, allowing close views of the animals in a setting similar to their natural environment. There is also an aviary with domestic birds and an educational area about the forest animals.
The park is a good introduction to the wildlife that gives the region its reputation — the land of Saint Hubert, patron saint of hunters. In September and October, during the rutting season, the stags become more agitated and are often heard in the forest.
It is an easy outing, suitable for families with children. Check opening times and visiting conditions in advance.
