About Casa de Horacio Quiroga
Casa de Horacio Quiroga is located on the outskirts of San Ignacio, near the Paraná River. The site preserves the memory of the Uruguayan writer who lived in the region and drew themes from the forest for his literature. The visit brings travelers closer to his domestic life and the environment in which those stories were produced.
The complex includes the masonry house and a replica of the wooden structure Quiroga built. Objects, photographs and everyday items help present his time in Misiones. The surrounding woodland also contributes to understanding the place, without replacing attention to the collection.
Plan return transport, since the house is not in the same block as the Jesuit ruins. From April to September temperatures usually favor outdoor spaces. Wear appropriate footwear for the paths and check visiting conditions before going, respecting access limits to the buildings and the grounds.
