About Garganta del Diablo
The visit on the Argentine side is part of Parque Nacional Iguazú, in Misiones. From the platform over the river, the view turns to the rim of the falls and to the water that descends between rocky walls.
Access is via the Garganta del Diablo station of the Tren Ecológico de la Selva and by a walkway over the upper stretch of the Iguazú River. The path is approximately 1.1 km to the viewpoint and is not the same route as the Circuito Superior and Circuito Inferior. Include the round trip along the walkway when organizing your day in the park.
The amount of mist and visibility vary with the flow and the wind. Protect your phone and camera from splashes and wear sturdy footwear for the walk. The route over the river has sections exposed to the sun; drinking water, a hat and light clothing help you spread the visit without hurry. Combine this sector with the other circuits according to the time available.
