The city

What to expect from Cabo Polonio.

Cabo Polonio is a small fishing village inside Parque Nacional Cabo Polonio, on the Rocha coast. It has no electrical grid, streets or access for private cars: visitors enter in authorized vehicles that cross the dunes from Puerta del Polonio at km 264.5 of Ruta 10. On the cape are the 1881 lighthouse and a colony of sea lions, between Playa Sur and Playa de la Calavera. Near the entrance, Monte de Ombúes is visited on guided walks.
