About Corvatsch
Corvatsch sits above Silvaplana on the south side of the valley. The cable car departs from Surlej, stops at the mid-station Murtèl, and reaches the upper station at 3.303 m, below the summit of Piz Corvatsch (3.451 m).
From the terrace, the view opens to the Bernina massif and the lakes of the Upper Engadine down below. Beside the station are the Vadret dal Corvatsch and Vadret dal Murtèl glaciers.
In summer, trails start from the intermediate stations, such as the one from Murtèl to the Fuorcla Surlej, a pass between Corvatsch and the Roseg valley. The Furtschellas station, with a cable car from Sils Maria, also connects to the area.
In winter, Corvatsch is a ski area, with runs open until the end of April and, on Friday nights, the Snow Night — a lit-night descent. Outside the seasons the cable car does not operate: check service before heading up.
