How many days

One day is enough for the Staubbachfall, the Trümmelbachfälle and Mürren. With two or three days you can add the Schilthorn, Wengen and the Allmendhubel, with walks between the villages.

When to go

From May to July, with the thaw, the waterfalls tend to be fuller. From June to September the high trails are open. In winter, from December to March, Wengen and Mürren welcome skiers.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

No. Wengen and Mürren do not allow cars, and trains, buses and cable cars link everything. The valley has little parking space and gets congested in the European summer.
