The city
Salisbury is the town of the cathedral with the tallest spire in the United Kingdom, in Wiltshire, at the meeting of five rivers, with a centre of market squares and timber-and-brick houses. The cathedral holds one of the original copies of the Magna Carta, and the town is the base for Stonehenge, about 15 km away, and for Old Sarum, the hill where the early town stood.
