About Praia da Adraga

Praia da Adraga is on the west coast of the concelho of Sintra, near the village of Almoçageme, inside Parque Natural de Sintra-Cascais. The sand lies between high dark-rock cliffs.

At low tide, caves and a stone arch carved by the sea appear at the northern end of the beach. The cliffs and rock formations make it a highly photographed beach.

The sea is the open Atlantic, with waves and cold water even in summer. During the bathing season there are lifeguards, and a fish restaurant operates by the sand.

To the north are Praia Grande and Praia Pequena; to the south, Praia da Ursa and Cabo da Roca. The access road is narrow and parking is limited.
